Chávez System-wide Students Served
As of October 5, 2009, Chávez has a total of 1,386 students enrolled at four campuses serving grades 6 – 12 for SY 2009-10. The schools primarily serve minority students from across the District of Columbia, of which the majority are African-American and Hispanic. The current student body has the following demographic characteristics:
